Default Is Kerberos suitable?

In my little local network there are a few Windows-machines, a couple of Linux boxes, a FreeBSD firewall/fileserver/ntpd/etc. Some of the machines are dualboot.

It is currently working very well apart from one thing: managing of accounts and passwords.

Given this set up what sort of tools or mechanisms would solve this?

Also, I'd like a simple way of adding a new machine and have it pick up all accounts more or less automatically.
