There are gotchas updating from v13 [ csh > sh ] especially if using freebsd-update. Several threads in the FreeBSD forums [updating bootcode if Zfs , etc ... ]

Yes. Another gotcha is the implementation of ntpdate in 14.0. I got that issue sorted out on the other FreeBSD forum.
