Xen issue
Hi,
I ever wrote about XEN on a Post/Thread here (deamonforums), i restart to build a virtual machine with XEN. I have read this url https://wiki.netbsd.org/tutorials/ho...os_using_xen3/ And of course, i change version of XEN, i try 45 and 46 version of xentools and xenkernel, but my computer reboot and ask the choise number of menu items. I think that i forgot some item, and while computer reboot i've a black screen i don't know where is the issue. Where is the log's files for XEN46? I can do error of XEN's version ! My computer is a XEON with AMD distribution, like this, it's full 64bits. Regards Philippe |

Just a couple of quick questions

Hi,
thanks for your help ! Just a couple of quick questions 1/ What is the menu line from your boot.cfg/ Quote:
Quote:
I do make install in /usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/xenkernel46. and cp /usr/pkg/xen46-kernel/xen.gz / and download dom3 ! Regards Philippe |

the Xen boot lines in your boot.cfg refer to the edition of xenkernel in /usr/pkg/... Not to the version you claim to have installed in /.
I would be surprised of the boot loader (/boot) is smart enough to be able to traverse the filesystem well enough to find it in /us/pkg/xen46-kernel/, assuming /usr/pkg is on the same filesystem as /. Correct the path in the multiboot portion to /xen.gz and try again. |
