Need assistance for Broadcom 432AGN wireless internal adapter
I have an HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop. It has a Broadcom 432AGN wireless internal adapter. I just installed FreeBSD 8.2 stable by way of a DVD. How do I get the wireless to work?

If you need a (quick, or easier in the long run, depending on the time you have alloted etc.) solution, there are some inexpensive a/b/g edimax usb sticks that with configuration (It took me a long time) may be quicker on the hardware side of it at least. (Sorry to not actually know the answer to the first post.)

Are you suggesting that I purchase some new piece of hardware? |

Instead of the edimax stick (about which I've posted at maybe this forum, and at the freebsd forums), you may have luck configuring what appears to be internal Broadcom wireless (there is a long thread about it on the freebsd forums.) It may take some trial-and-error though, if the wireless works, configuring the actual wpa-supplicant.conf, rc.conf entries. (Unsure if bwm, bwi, or the
other drivers will work (without ndisgen, etc)... the last page of the Broadcom wireless thread implies there is still coding to be done for many of the latest chipsets.) All in all, using the edimax or an atheros or intel usb stick may get your wireless configured quicker. (Other things to suggest but I am out of time...)

The kernel only detects a Broadcom USB device:

Your card is a BCM4321
This card is not directly supported on FreeBSD at the moment. You can use if_ndis(4) and use the Windows driver on FreeBSD, using Google, there seem to be some people using the BCM4321 with if_ndis(4) successfully. It's not "plug-and-play", but with some effort you should be able to get it working. The FreeBSD handbook has a section on configuring cards with NDIS: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO...G-NETWORK-NDIS Try following these steps.
