From a recent post on the openbsd ports mailing list:


I've being using asterisk for 2+ years now running 4 boxes and I can tell you that
going with FreePBX is a pain.

After all of the pain with it I moved into OpenBSD with plain text
file configs and the results were just fantastic and my config files
are now human readable.

I'm trying to compile my experience here:

I have an aversion against phones, but this may be useful for somebody else
You don't need to be a genius to debug a pf.conf firewall ruleset, you just need the guts to run tcpdump
