Default Install to a HDD using FreeSBID

Hi,

Had anyone used FreeSBID install FreeBSD (7+) onto a HDD?
There are three options in its Makefile:
iso, img, flash
which can be invoked as: make iso, make img or make flash.

can I assign a secondary HDD device name to the "make flash" command? eg. "make hdd". I am a bit worried if the command "make flash" will produce a "read-only" filesystem.

Thanks
sammmy
