OpenSMTPD does not yet have filtering or masquerading available, so I question why the default mailer was changed from Sendmail.

I would think it would have been better to wait until filtering (which is apparently the method to be used for masquerading) is completed and working before switching.

The filter api has been available for nearly two years but has been disabled because it isn't stable.

Hopefully! The filter api with masquerading will soon be available because it is a great MTA.

I use it smtpd, but I still question making it the default before the filter api is stable.
