Default Test driven development

Hello
TDD is an approach to write programs. It means we should write tests and write this tests before writing code.
What's your thoughts on that approach? Does this approach is used by some base OpenBSD code?

TDD is useful, and I use it; but not always. TDD is especially useful when you're certain what you want in advance. In practice, this often isn't the case, and using TDD for these cases is more trouble than it's worth, IMHO. So like most good ideas, TDD becomes a bit silly when pushed to the extreme and applied in every case without thought.
