mySql problems
I installed Apache22, php5, php5-extensions, phpmyadmin and mysql mainly for the purpose of snort / snortreport.

You can use the guide here:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/...rmissions.html Or here: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/...rivileges.html But the default root account on MySQL should not have a password. So you can connect simply by "mysql -u root" Let us know if either of the above are helpful or work for you.
