Default Transparent proxy and bandwidth

Hi

Is there any way to limit upload for clients using transparent proxy like squid. If not, if i tag the packets incoming to squid i will be able to put them to appropiate pipes ?

Thanks!

Using:
http://www.google.com/search?client=...utf-8&oe=utf-8

I clicked the first result:
http://squid-web-proxy-cache.1019090...td2314141.html

Which lead me to:
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features...delay_pools%29

Does this answer your question?

Cannot you use the altq framework to queue the packets? See http://www.openbsd.org/faq/pf/queueing.html

How is your network topology? On which box is squid running?

You can queue/rate limit on the external interface of the squid/gateway box.
