Default Are the old forums gone?

For nothing other than my own curiosity, I tried to connect to the old forums, and they just return a page load error.
Not that I have any difficulties finding offers for discount viagra, pirated software, counterfeit watches and handbags, or any of that. I was just wondering if they were still around or if the admins there gave up entirely.

Yes, they seem to be gone for good, nothing we can do about it unfortunately :-(

That was what I figured. While I don't miss the spam, I know there was some good information buried in the pre-spam posts on that forum. Hopefully the people who provided that information have come over here.

Although I had been watching the forum only in its last period, I remember many really useful posts there.

Fortunately, most good posters are in here as well.

Are you guys talking about http://www.bsdforums.org/forums/ ?
Because I was there too (but have been busy and didn't log in for some time) and a few weeks ago I tried it and saw it was gone.
After a google search I came here seeing most of the people were here (J65nko, Carpetsmoker, vermaden, phoenix, BSDfan666, etc).
I actually though the forums only changed names.

If you know the topic, you can still get the cached copy from Google by searching for the topic and clicking on 'cached".
