Using UEFI Laptops with Windows 8 Pre-installed
Greetings, Gentlemen:
I've a relatively new Toshiba Win8 (Pre-installed from OEM) Laptop for work issued to me; and was trying to install OpenBSD on an USB Stick to try it out. Turns out that there's that "UEFI" issue to deal with... http://www.daemonforums.org/showthre...highlight=uefi From what I've read, disabling the "Secure Boot" mode should have allowed the Laptop to boot from the ordered drives (I've set the CD/DVD Drive). It's not working - so I'm obviously missing something. Can the lucky hacks who tried this over the Holidays give me some pointers, please? Thank you, Last edited by J65nko; 29th January 2013 at 06:16 PM. Reason: Added UEFI to the title/header |
