Default OpenBSD on laptop using Firefox

OpenBSD 4.6 on Toshiba laptop with Firefox 3.5. When I want to look at my bank account online after authentication it becomes stuck in an endless loop and fails to bring up the accounts page.

However, running FreeBSD 8.0 with Firefox 3.5 I am able to authenticate and browse online banking. Also using OpenSolaris 2009.06 with Firefox 3, I am able to use online banking.

What could be stopping the banking page from being displayed?

Hi,

please run firefox from terminal and try to access the bank page- let's see what it writes to terminal- perhaps there is some answer. Does your bank use java ?

Flash can also be a problem, if your bank uses it.

There is a Flash-7 plugin availabile with the Opera browser, under Linux emulation. It is for i386 only, and does not support Flash 8, 9, or 10.

Very many things! You are not really giving enough info so that anybody can
actually help.

My first guess is usually that you have NoScript add on and you are blocking Java script. It could be that you are not accepting third party cookies. It could be that you are not allowing automatic redirection. It could be that your bank is using some stupid port instead of https so PF is blocking the traffic. It could be something as stupid as your bank requiring Flash to display
the page or even Java.

You are really the only one who can answer your own question.
