Also, take a look through the output of$ pkg_infoand see if you have a "partial-openoffice" package listed. If so, remove it with pkg_delete(8).

1) For your next copy/paste, you can post here withing [code] blocks rather than using pastey.net; it makes it easier for us to see the results

2) Please post the specific error messages from your failing pkg_add. You may use script(1) to capture the output, and run it through col(1) with -b to remove control sequences.

The file cannot be named with "_2" in it. It must be named openoffice-2.3.1p0.tgz, and that is why you are seeing this particular error message.
