I've made the transition from KDE 3.x to KDE 4.x. Here's a shot of my KDE 4.1.4 desktop on FreeBSD 7.1. It's a little cluttered, but I'm trying different things right now.

The desktop theme is Arezzo
Weather applet is yaWP (I ported it, but its not in the ports tree yet (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=130596)
Music applet is am3rok (I ported it, but have not submitted it hoping Amarok 2.0 will hit the ports tree soon. If you're interested in the shar, it's attached.)

File Type: shar plasma-applet-am3rok.shar (2.0 KB, 72 views)

New user here. My first attempt with FreeBSD. Longtime Linux user, Lunar/Sorcerer being my favorite distros. They still power most of my computers. a chance encounter with vermaden over @deviantart led me to FreeBSD. So when I got this brand new Lenovo 3000 N 200, I loaded FreeBSD7.1 on it and so far so good. Many thanks to vermaden!

Cuttooth gtk theme, fluxbox, and lokheed's tango gnome icons.

Clean

Busy

@ Daisuke_Aramaki

How did you get the daemon to act like Debian's cow say?

You just need to use the appropriate file to be called by the cowsay command. in this case, the daemon file. This should be available by default as well.

Code:
cowsay -f daemon `your text`

Linux is not UNIX! Face it! It is not an insult. It is fact: GNU is a recursive acronym for “GNU's Not UNIX”.
