Default Something like Midnight Commander

I use Midnight Commander and I like it but I want change it and use another thing
can I find another thing like Midnight Commander in port
I want use it for see log files and edit files

The closest I've ever come to midnight commander 'like' stuff on X11 is konqueror's kommander mode.

There's also gentoo (not the Linux distribution of the same name!).
