Default VSFTPD SERVER

Hi everyone,
I am extremely exhausted after a whole day trying to configure vsftpd.

I have installed the following:
pam_mysql
mysql server/client 6.0
vsftpd

I have tried to figure out how to deal with virtual users on vsftpd for hours and I couldn't find any leads.

I have googled around and there is no suitable freebsd + virtual user + mysql + pam tutorial availabe.

So I am asking for someone who has done this process for vsftpd on mysql to write up a tutorial on freebsd

Much help will be appreciated.

BTW are there any ftp servers out there that are more user friendly and less troublesome?

Regards

Possibly it depends on what your looking to do with your server. I use pureftpd and it was quite easy to set up. I just use it for a small ftp site mainly to transfer files for work related purposes though. It supports virtual users too although I cant compare it to vsftpd because Ive never tried it.
