One of the members of Chromance/APC would always brag that he had the access codes to the Eastern seaboard areas such as Appalachian. Publicly stating that one can or is doing damage by whatever means is the sign of wanting attention. I haven't met or heard of an active cracker- or "black hat hacker"- who wanted their faces shown or names known while doing the deed.
Laziness, greed, and apathy would best describe the makers of the devices and those foolish enough to allow such information to be cataloged for public use. |
