Have 9.3 installed to a HP T520 as well now - 1.2GHz dual core - 4GB ram - 16GB M2 SSD.

Seems to be working OK - except urtwn wifi still dropping out, (I though it had been fixed, but evidently not ).

Workstation built in early 2017 with the aim of running Linux/Windows. The updated graphics stack in NetBSD 10 (albeit still lagging quite behind other BSDs) finally allows me to have accelerated graphics on this computer (via nouveau), so I'm currently dual-booting it with Slackware.

The workstation includes:

  • AsRock H270 Pro4 motherboard
  • i7 7700k CPU (with Cooler Master liquid cooling)
  • 4x DIMM DDR4 2400MT/s RAM
  • 2 x M.2 Kingston SSDs
  • 2 x Seagate Barracuda HDDs
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (supported by nouveau(4))
  • Iiyama PL2792Q 2K monitor
  • Broadcom NeXtreme Gigabit Ethernet BCM5720 PCIe (supported by bge(4)
  • Sound Blaster Audigy Fx PCIe (supported by hdaudio(4))
  • Avlab PCI 2S Serial Adapter (supported by puc(4))
  • Logitech C270 USB Webcam (supported by uvideo(4))
  • Corsair Vengeance K70R mechanical keyboard
  • Thinkpad wireless mouse

I decided to run a HEAD kernel for testing purposes, upon a 10.0_BETA base.
I built a custom minimal kernel using the MODULAR config as base. Kernel size is now around 13 MB.
