SolarWinds Hackers Strike Again

I'm not familiar with Constant Contact--I imagine it's one of those things like always be connected to your work account so that you have no life things. I also wonder if any of it was done through some email thing--So many viruses, etc., could be eliminated if people didn't use html email. But, bosses have to have colors in their signature.
It does seem that many vectors for malware are things that really aren't needed. And I'm not talking about learning troff to make documents, but things like letting macros run in a document. Is that really needed? And so on, ad nauseum. Pft, I guess this is just an Old Man Yells At Cloud post. https://memepediadankmemes.fandom.co...Yells_at_Cloud That's OK, I'm old. |

I look at Hacking in any form in this manner.
IT personnel working for any of these major target corporations are employees that usually have no interest in the company they work for other than a paycheck, some social interaction, and maybe a feelling of career accomplishment. Management directives concerning procedures, policy, etc. govern their work enviornment. Then consider the input from the accounting dept. into the mix and you have UN-safe data. Hackers (un-ethical) individuals, ngo's or state sponsors have the edge. Why? There is PROFIT in it. If you were to bet on highly motivated individuals, ngo's or state sponsored actors vrs most company IT employes, Which would you bet on? Last edited by frcc; 31st May 2021 at 07:19 PM.
