As for directions to take from here, you could install -current & test, but I would more strongly suggest posting as much information as you can provide (including dmesg(8) output...) to the ports@ mailing list. Information on subscribing & posting can be found at the following: http://www.openbsd.org/mail.html I don't recall many regulars here mentioning they use KDE (I don't either...) and/or take advantage of all of its bells & whistles, so posting to ports@ seems to be a justifiable & prudent action. |

Well that made no difference - so I went for the simplest solution and disabled the KDE Power Manager...
I only really need screen blanking (which is handled by DPMS anyway). With regard to KDE4, I also completely disabled kmix as it seems to require an alsa or pulseaudio back end. |
