My favourite new feature in 7.0 is this:
aq(4)
uaq(4)
What's so special about this chipset? I've had my eyes on 10Gb USB ethernet adapters for quite a while as I'd like to switch my home network to sth. with a little more pizzazz. As it would seem, most of the more affordable ones seem to use one of the Aquantia AQC1xx chipsets. Even though the uaq manpage only lists 5GbE the groundwork seems to be there. So far, built-in laptop ethernet ports seem to be 5Gb max. And with one of these adapters it should be possible to give it an extra push. It also opens more possibilites for instance to connect your laptop to fiber optic cabling by using a SFP+ USB adapter. Good things coming our way.
