*ERROR* Potential atomic update failure
Hello, I see this error message in several dmesg posts including mine
error: [drm  id3771:intel_pipe_update_start] *ERROR* Potential atomic update failure on pipe AError comes up randomly and I would like to know what it means and if theres a fix.

Seems to be related to Intel's graphics driver, and it indicates there is some kind of a problem in its functionality.
It is an atomic failure, which means the processor will wait for an operation to complete until it finishes. You can try to update firmwares with fw_update, and if you're lucky enough...
