No personal experience but

The first thing anyone should do if they have a hardware question is to go here:
http://dmesgd.nycbug.org/
and search for what you're looking for.
Searching for "NUC" reveals 3 dmesgs. One of them looks like that model (or very similar):

Make sure to add your dmesgs as well.

If it is Haswell, 4th Generation , it should work, but you'll be missing AES-NI. Shoot for the i5 instead.

If its Broadwell, the i3 gives you AES-NI, but inteldrm does not support the graphics yet, so you won't get graphics acceleration. Mine has to run Fedora because of that inconvenience.

Anything Intel after that will require binary blobs for graphics, IIRC.
