I am not having any luck installing SMB server on my machine. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? The machine is OpenBSD 5.7 on amd64 hardware/installation FAQ tells me that I should check the versions which I believe to be the same. FAQ: http://www.openbsd.org/faq/faq15.html#PkgFAQ Installed from here: http://mirror.esc7.net/pub/OpenBSD/5.../install57.iso Trying to install samba from here: http://mirror.esc7.net/pub/OpenBSD/5...-3.6.15p14.tgz Here is a screenshot of the errors Thanks in advance Last edited by EverydayDiesel; 2nd June 2015 at 09:17 PM. |

"library X11.16.0 not found"
It looks like you need the xorg file sets. Although OpenBSD will run without Xorg, many packages are dependent on the xorg libraries. |

Generally speaking, you should install the X sets these days even if you don't think you will use them directly.
This is why. |

You do not need to re-install. The X sets can be added after-the-fact. See FAQ 4.11
