Can we have a BBCODE tag to link to freebsd.org/ports much like the code we have for man pages ?

[port] or something ?

Hello,

We could also have one for NetBSD packages. Perhaps even for OpenBSD, but I am too unfamiliar with that system to know if they have a ports collection. But, just like there are different bbcodes for the various manpages, there can be also for the various ports/packages.

I have thought of a few. Maybe similar ones for The Jargon file or wikipedia.

Yes, an inline code tag would be extremely useful.

I just noticed that we already have it: [cmd]. Example
Just type [cmd=%]rm /universe[/cmd] and all will be fine
Just type % rm //universe and all will be fine

that =[prompt] is going to be hard to remember, though. I must say it doesn't quite do what I'd like it to do, though, but it's OK.

edit: I see we already have Wikipedia [wp]article name[/wp], and [file] too. Let's see.

Could you email me a copy of [file]/etc/master.password[/file]? I should have that fixed in a day or so.

(In case you are wondering how I typed this, there is also [noparse][/noparse] tags, that prevent all bbcodes from being converted.)
