Default OpenBSD4.4 i386 ACPI ps/2 keyboard

After some time away from OpenBSD I was trying to get acpi working which had previously worked on OpenBSD 4.1. I tried disabling apm and a new kernel
without apm. The new kernels booted fine but at the xdm login screen ps/2 keyboard inputs generates multiple letters as if the key is being held down. Any one else with this kind of problem? Any suggestions to fix?

Thanks in advance
