Default i3-gaps Desktop on OpenBSD, anybody?

Hi all,

does anybody have installed i3-gaps on OpenBSD? The github is https://github.com/Airblader/i3

I like i3wm a lot, you can have a quick look visiting my last post http://joancatala.net/node/1386, but I was wondering if some other have installed i3-gaps. There is no information on the wiki of the project.

I read about some other OpenBSD user who already did it, but he doesn't answer the below comments on his post https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/co...not_yet_riced/

thanks in advance,
joan

From this discussion on ports@, it appears that rsadowski@ is working on an i3-gaps port. You could reach out to him directly and ask about development status. It may not be ready for work-in-progress testing, as it isn't in jasper@'s openbsd-wip repository. Yet.

Default Yeah!!!

It is working like a charm.

I downloaded the port (it is published on https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m...962308754&q=p3) and I compiled it with make install clean

And after 5 minutes, I wrote startx i3 and that's all. No weird troubles, no big dependencies, just make install clean and you'll get it.

I recorded two video screencasts with i3-gaps, and it looks like really really attractive now:
