Default double posting?

Is it worth putting something in the forum rules about double posting? We had someone yesterday get bent out of shape for being called on posting the same message in multiple subforae.

I would second that for sure. It's a complete annoyance to see that kind of thing.

Well, in general I would like to keep the rules short and to the point, covering only the most important rules, because if you have a long list of rules I fear that (some) people will not read any of them...

Some people don't even read short ones let along follow long ones :\.

Yes, it would be nice if the rules could be short, clear, & concise, but life isn't clear & concise either. In fact, it would be great if common sense could be the sole rule, but unfortunately, common sense isn't common enough.

Rules typically are put into place to have something to point to later when the same problem crops up again (& again, & again...) hoping that this will squelch any further incessant arguing about how unfair life is, why is the pizza cold, drats, there isn't any beer left, & ouch, this hangnail is bothering me. Just don't do it. It just saves a lot of time & confusion by posting just once.

Well, common sense is enough for most people ...

Anyway, I will make two lists of rules, a short one which covers the most important stuff and a long one covering other (less important) stuff...

Common sense, the most important thing people have except for one flaw.

A lot of people never use the lump of gray matter ~3ft above there romp roast.
