List of 4.7 packages?
I used to browse the entire package list under i386 for the exact name I needed to put for a certain package during pkg_add but the link to the list seems to have disappeared off the page I usually refer to for the link (http://openbsd.org/ports.html#Get). I can get to the 4.6 packages fine (http://www.openbsd.org/4.6_packages/i386.html) but replacing the '6' with '7' doesn't work. Did they stop using the entire package list now?

Yes, that is no longer made, and has been discussed on the lists before.
The way that page was generated is by running a script in the ports tree, namely: ports/infrastructure/package/gen-package-pages You may be able to generate a local list with that, use an FTP/HTTP client to browse the package directory, or preferably use http://openports.se/. On that site, when you search for a port, www/mozilla-firefox, it'll show you the package name near the top that you can use with the pkg_* tools. Remember to exclude the version number, as that site tracks -CURRENT. |

What about the package descriptions and stuff?

Again, look at http://openports.se/. However, be aware that what is described on OpenPorts are the -current ports. You will need to look at the bottom of each application's description page to determine whether the application is available for -current only, or whether it was also available for -release as well.

Pardon? openports.se displays the pkg/DESCR file for each port.
