Default OBSD63

Do we have an official release date yet - I see it on some mirrors & was wondering if I missed it.

No.

The point of -release determination has never been published in advance. Historically it was always months ahead of the official -release schedule (May 1 / Nov 1, with some variability), to allow for release engineering, CD pressing, pre-release ordering, and circulation.

At this time of writing, -current is still a pre-release "beta." Earlier today, the ports tree was semi-frozen, allowing only for critical updates. Based solely on history, I am expecting -release to be tagged within the next several weeks, followed by a few days of release engineering. As there is no longer a need for CD production, I expect a release announcement and file set availability soon thereafter.

Many thanks- I thought I hadn't missed an announcement - these must be Beta, as you say.

The release page says 2018-04-15 but I remember that it was wrong last time:

This is a skeleton, to be revised repeatedly until the release announcement.

Take note of my comment above. Contents (and that date) are placeholders until publication.

Just a status update. I note that the release was tagged in CVS today.

I expect a release announcement could occur at any time in the coming days.
