Default Gnome Installation Login Error

I had installed Gnome Desktop manager to OpenBSD 5.7 and no configuration. Tutorial

It started the GUI but doesn't display the login page but error page.

I put pkg_scripts="gdm" into /etc/rc.conf.local

How to troubleshoot this problem?
It shows oh no something has went wrong image.

Please help. Thanks.

Content from /etc/rc.conf.local

Quote:
multicast_host=YES
pkg_scripts="dbus_daemon avahi_daemon gdm"
I'm understand that Gnome 3 requires 3D hardware acceleration.
When i type in startx, it start the default x window manager and not gnome.

When to check x log or Gnome Log?

Thank you. Your rc.conf.local file looks correct to me.

X logs: /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old.
GDM log files are stored in: /var/log/gdm

According to the OpenBSD README file for Gnome that you will find in /usr/local/share/doc/pkg-readmes, starting Gnome without GDM is not recommended. The README provides guidance for setting your .xinitrc for a manual start.

This thread started bu philo_neo71 may aid you. Philippe was also struggling to install and configure Gnome 3 on OpenBSD 5.7-release, and eventually managed to do so successfully.
