Network connection trouble
Hello,
I have trouble with network setup on NetBSD 5.1 installed on Laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro L650. I need to know if this is the problem of missing driver or my unability to setup this interface. The result of code: dmesg|grep ethernet vendor 0x1969 product 0x2060 (ethernet network, revision 0xc1) at pci2 dev 0 function 0 not configured dmesg|grep network vendor 0x14c4 product 0x4727 (miscellaneous network, revision 0x01) at pci3 dev 0 function 0 not configured Please, help me. Is this just problem of missing configuration or trouble of missing driver? Thanks a lot. |

The Ethernet interface is an Attansic (..now Atheros) L2C, OpenBSD may support this device I believe.
I do not follow NetBSD development, but, you should try a snapshot.. they may have added support since the 5.1 release. I can't find any results for the PCI vendor ID 0x14c4, was that a typo perhaps? 0x14e4:0x4727 is a Broadcom BCM4313 b/g/n wireless device. There is no support for that device on OpenBSD, however, NetBSD might. Last edited by BSDfan666; 15th September 2011 at 09:40 PM. |
