High Definition Audio
This weekend I've recompiled my kernel and I noticed something new: The High Definition Audio section.
After enabling the hdaudio and hdafg options, I noticed that MIXERCTL(1) handles all the audio features (ex: volume) independently, that is, I can set 50% in the front jack and 75% in the back jack. NOTE: The reason I've started this thread is to give a little heads-up, that is, audio applications like gxine only allow control to the primary output (outputs.master). PS: When I first booted the new kernel I thought it was an audio bug but, after doing a 'mixerctl -a', I realized it was actually a feature.
