I'm using SSMTP
I have disabled sendmail in /etc/rc.conf see below. Should I only disable outbound? or maybe someone can show me how to configure sendmail to relay my email?
#sendmail sendmail_enable="NO" sendmail_submit_enable="NO" sendmail_outbound_enable="NO" sendmail_msp_queue_enable="NO" Last edited by cssgalactic; 29th June 2008 at 01:39 AM. |

After fetchmail POPped a mail message it will hand it over to the local mailer/MTA for delivery. You disabled that local mailer/MTA, hence the error.
Just enable sendmail. In the default configuration your FBSD box wll not accept mail from outside, nor will it relay. For that to happen you must replace the sendmail configuration file. So it is not unsafe to enable sendmail in at all
