Default apmd : Operation not supported

Hi,

I have an AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 Processor and I when I try to have cpu scaling here is what I get :
Code:
# apmd -A
cannot open device file `/dev/apmctl` : Operation not supported by device.
Does it mean that this feature isn't support for this processor, or is it linked to the BIOS of the motherboard, a 880GA-UD3H GIGABYTE ?

I couldn't find any relevant error in dmesg.

Thanks
