Failed building pkg_install
After a fresh install and pkgsrc install, I wanted to build some packages,
however 'pkg_install' failed. I received the following error: Code:
checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... /lib/cpp configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check See `config.log' for more details. *** Error code 1 Stop. make: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/pkgtools/pkg_install WARNING: *** Please consider adding c++ to USE_LANGUAGES in the package Makefile. *** Error code 1 Stop. make: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/pkgtools/pkg_install Hjordis# Code:
USE_LANGUAGE= c c++ .include "../../mk/bsd.pkg.mk" I have absolutely no idea how to solve this. |

Looks like it's trying to find the C preprocessor in the wrong place. On my system (NetBSD 4.0.1) it's in /usr/bin/cpp. Your error message says it's looking in /lib/cpp. Unfortunately other than making sure that /usr/bin is in your PATH variable (check your .profile and/or .cshrc file), I don't know how to help you.
I guess a workaround is to delete whatever is in /lib/cpp and make a symlink in there to /usr/bin/cpp. |

I solved it 'the easy way' by just downloading and manual installing this particular package.
