Check your logs for indications of a constant driver reload loop. I had trouble with one NIC I was using, maybe because the driver wasn't quite right. It could work OK for a while, but occasionally the system would get caught in a constant driver reload loop, where most of the driver's time was spent reloading (and not listening). It looked like it was down, but it was only down while it was reloading.

I'm not sure how the driver reload would affect a web server. Did you also lose your ssh? If so, that would point to the driver being reloaded (maybe). The software might have to be built to accomodate it.

I love the Hiawatha HTTP server, but unfortunately it looks like it doesn't yet compile on Minix3.

Thanks,
When it occurs, yes ssh access and also the webserver (website). Since it is remote , ( I do not have physical access), when this occurs I have to send a e-mail, and the guy at the server manually restarts it, some times several hours go by before I can contact him, when it is down, or stopped it stays that
way until someone reboots the server, obviously , when this occurs I have no ssh access and can not reboot it.
I am wondering , if you can be more specific as to which log to look at ? Actually there are not very many, that I can find, /var/log/messages and "syslog", do not have anything indicating much, all though the syslog has a whole lot of errors,..
Similar to this,
Code:
Aug 24 12:07:29 %nameserver 1 2017-08-24T12:07:29.883333+00:00 garry.minix.org reboot - - - rebooted by root

and
Code:
Sep 13 02:06:56 %nameserver 1 2017-09-13T02:06:56.016666+00:00 %nameserver sshd 27196 - - fatal: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer

When they installed Minix (Minix3.3) he did comment they had some trouble installing, and had to
make some adjustment in the bios,..but did not tell me what "adjustment" needed to be made.
It is not a real big deal, it all ways reboots just fine, and it seems now it takes more time before this occurs, several days go by and no problem. If and when I get it to where it is stable, I don't plan to use it as a webserver, in the sense of being for a website, with forums, etc. I only want to have it for storage , mostly images,... however it needs to be stable, and keep running because I will be linking to the images from other sites at times.
I don't mean like a public image storage site, it is only 150gb, and for my own personal use,...
I like Minix3 because the OS use such a small amount of space, leaving me most of the space for storage,etc,...

I haven't had a Minix3 box up in a while, so I'm operating from my (human) memory. But, I think that the reincarnation server puts a message in the syslog that it has reloaded the driver every time it does, and that's not showing in your logs. This seems like maybe a fix could be a watchdog?
