Default MBR GPT hybrid partitioning

I found this reference to MBR GPT hybrid partitioning:Hybrid MBRs: The Good, the Bad, and the So Ugly You'll Tear Your Eyes Out

Has anyone tried this and/or could he/she share some experience?
