mounting usb

Plugging the usb stick in does result in the system recognizing it. usb stick is PNY 16 gig. Can someone shed some light on this as I am confused.... Yes I noted that in dmesg, also have received numerous error messages
that annotates that. Since it is "new" from the store,,,,,,,how does one write at least once into the device? Change permissions ?? Try different mounting statement variations ?? Try different mounting loations ?? I have used the standard #mount /dev/sd0i/ /mnt/pen command with variations as well as attempting to mount as Msdos stick I have not been able to mount the device with multiple permatations of the mount command to /mnt/pen without some sort of error. |
