If you use 4.3-STABLE, you should already know how to update... if you meant you want to use it, read the FAQ.

The fix you asked about is for IPv6. If you are not using IPv6, you won't need it.

To apply this fix, or any other fixes to -stable since you last built it .... just update your -stable source tree, per FAQ 5.3.3, and rebuild your kernel and userland, per FAQ 5.3.4 and FAQ 5.3.5.

Default Comparing -stable to -errata+patches

Just for fun, I looked at the number of 4.3-stable updates in the tree, and compared that to the errata patches.

At the moment, moving from 4.3-release to 4.3-stable installs 26 patches to source files.

Installing all six errata patches installs 25 patches to source files.

# cd /usr/xenocara
# cvs -d$CVSROOT up -rOPENBSD_4_3 -Pd
You should retain & study my entire response in your earlier thread. You will need all the information found in that message.
