Default Which illumos without X?

I consider to replace one of my FreeBSD servers soon. While illumos is still interesting to me, I noticed that all distributions I've seen require (or heavily recommend) an X server for the installation/upgrade procedure.

Is there any illumos distribution available which can just be installed and maintained over SSH without having to find "workarounds"?

OK, I see that I forgot to make the wording more fool-proof...

So, which one?

FWIW: Rather happy with OmniOS.

Although OmiOS probably represents the safest bet

Tribblix in its"OmniTribblix" variant (based on Joyent's Illumos) supporting LX-branded Zones, is a very lightweight, stable (fixed releases including 3rd party software) and versatile alternative

Tribblix supports SPARC (ISO based on defunct OpenSXCE) and still maintains a i686 fork, in spite of the fact x86 support was removed from upstream Illumos 4 months ago
