MTP Support for OpenBSD

As a NetBSD user I want to know how OpenBSD users use mtp?
I see that you have in the ports tree a version of simple-mtpfs. Are supported newer smartphones with Android 6?

While you may receive other responses here to your questions, you may do better by directly contacting the port's maintainer. Information can be found at OpenPort's page for sysutils/simple-mtpfs.

Are you already running OpenBSD? It might be worth just doing pkg_add simple-mtpfs and seeing if it works with your phone. Doing pkg_add takes a few seconds (and added a few more packages.)

Works fine with my Galaxy SIII but that's running a fairly old version of Android, I forget which.

I never had success with any MTP implementation even with devices running Android 4.x. I recommend you try devel/adb instead. It works well for me on FreeBSD at least.
