Configuring SMTP relay to Google for sendbugs to go through
I get a crash when I start the X server. So, I want to send this issue to the openbsd-bugs mailing list using sendbugs. As I understand, I need to have SMTP relay in place for this email to go through. I configured my smtpd.conf with my gmail secrets, and 587 port for google's smtp server for smtp+tls (port 587) using this as a reference: http://runc0m.blogspot.com/2019/01/o...ails-with.html
However, /var/log/maillog just shows long waiting times with MTA connection timeouts. `netstat -f inet -t` shows that the connection to MTA fails because the connections are in SYN_SENT state perpetually. I removed 2FA on my google account, and enabled access to "less secure apps". Do I need to do anything else for the email to go through? |

I haven't used my set up with gmail in a while but in my config I used smtps protocol on port 465.
