Default PostgreSql rc.d script

Hello, I am unable to get the postgresql startup script to function. I execute the default script(and I have tried executing the script under root and pgsql) and nothing happens. Now, if I take the exact command from the script and execute that as root, it starts perfectly. Anyone else have this problem? Let me know if you need me to paste in the shell script.

It sounds like you may be missing a rc.conf entry.

# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/postgresql rcvar

(or whatever)

That will tell you the directive you need to add to /etc/rc.conf. (Except you'll add a "YES" for the value.)
