Which file manager for fvwm?
For the moment i I was thinking at
pcmanfm.

You can use any file manager you want ... I personally think x11-fm/xfe is nice ... But pcmanfm isn't bad either ...

I like known the solution adopted by the community users on minimal system.

My aim is to combine lightness with functionality.

I known xfe as norton commander.

(terminal emulator (with tabs or + screen) + favorite shell + $PATH contacts /bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin) == worlds best file manager

For X in general I prefer X Northern Captain, or xnc. It's an orthodox (Norton-style) file manager that depends on X libraries only. It hasn't been updated in years but it's still useful.
