Default Connect to ssid with spaces

Hi, I'm trying to connect to my wifi. It works fine if the ssid doesn't have spaces but it doesn't if there are spaces. I tried nwid, join, with and without quotes.

Current hostname.bwi
Code:
nwid "North Ailey Farm" wpakey "password"
dhcp
I have 8 access points and loads of people using the wifi so changing the ssid is a problem

Works for me with quotations. I can even use them in passphrases.
Code:
$ ifconfig rtwn0 joinlist

rtwn0: flags=208843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST,AUTOCONF6> mtu 1500
         lladdr ec:55:f9:c6:f9:40
        index 2 priority 4 llprio 3
        groups: wlan egress
        media: IEEE802.11 autoselect (DS1 mode 11b)
        status: no network
ieee80211: nwid "nondescript black Escalade" wpakey wpaprotos wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers ccmp wpagroupcipher ccmp
ALTTROY2 wpaprotos wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers ccmp wpagroupcipher ccmp
"Welcome to the matrix" wpaprotos wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers ccmp wpagroupcipher ccmp
              PANERA
"nondescript black Escalade" wpaprotos wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers ccmp wpagroupcipher ccmp
