Default Content Filtering with OpenBSD

Hey guys,

How do you guys handle content filtering for your networks if you have an OpenBSD box acting as the firewall? Is there anything for OpenBSD that will do content/web filtering?

Thanks in advance!

While I don't do this myself, my understanding is that www/squid is probably the most commonly used tool.

No there is nothing in the base that I know of that can do content filtering. If I had to do it in production I would use DansGuardian. At home since I use OpenDNS instead of my ISP DNS server the easiest way would be to filter content by setting my preference at my OpenDNS account.

Squid + DansGuardian works really well. Especially with the latest versions of DG which finally break the "255 processes" limit.

We use that in all of our elementary and secondary schools with great results.

About 8 years ago, I had success with Squid and SquidGuard.
