RIP Dennis Ritchie.

This is sad news. :'(

Dennis Ritchie was one of the few people that I "Looked up to" in the computing world, guess now I get to literally look upwards. Learning of his passing this morning made me honestly sad but I'm thankful he's free of any human suffering.
R.I.P. P.S. I hope it's not disrespectful to wonder how often he got compiler errors.

agree, although their contributions are very different. As I told someone, this is like the guy who invented sliced bread, or butter passing; depending on how much you like assembly over it's precursor.
