Default GEOM_LABEL....

after reading handbook, i decided to to label my disks, because it's pretty hard to remember name like /dev/ad4s4.elid or /dev/ad4s3.elid.journal

I wanted to label all slices that i use. For this i rebooted pc with my usb pen-drive.

I lavebed all partition using
tunefs -L label partition
everything worked find, but...

after i restart my PC to load freebsd from HDD, labels were removed (kinda)
they are removed every time i reboot pc.
They are not removed as deleted. They are just not used, and dmesg shows something like

...label removed...
each time i boot.

Does anyone know, why and what can i do about it?

The volumes for which you have no fstab entry, are their labels also getting removed?

You should check out the glabel(8) man page. I don't know, but perhaps tunefs -L... is equivalent to glabel create... ?

yes, tunefs -L .... and/or newfs -L makes permanent label
while glabel create creates temp label
